Podcast Manager 1.8 introduces several new features as well as resolves a few bugs. Podcast Manager 1.7 introduces the ability to produce multiple feeds from within the component. Aside from this major feature addition, code optimization has been completed and as found, bugs have been fixed. For a full list of changes, you can review the commit log on GitHub.

This release improves upon the first beta release by further building upon the multi-feed capabilities, adding an upgrade path from the 1.6 release series, and improving the user interface.

This release adds the ability to produce multiple feeds from the component.

This release is a rapid release intended to clear up some PHP errors due to the execution method of the content plugin. The plugin catches multiple bits of data and previously tried to process all of them. The plugin has been modified to only run once with the required data. Also, a PHP Strict message in the edit form has been cleared. Lastly, security fixes found in Joomla! core code have been applied where appropriate.

• Filename not retained - There were a couple reports of the filename not being retained when a file is selected after the page refresh. To mitigate this, in the same function that pre-fills the podcast form, the filename is re-populated with the information from the cookie that is used to call the function.
• Front end podcast selection - Selecting a podcast via the podcast button when editing from the front end wasn't possible previously due to an oversight on my part to ensure this was working. This functionality is now present.
• Bug fixes and code cleanup - A couple of small bugs were fixed and unnecessary code was removed from the package
• Core update support added for HTML Overrides packages
